Play Dough is useful in building dams to prevent epoxy from spreading where you do not want it.,

This is a photo of a tea candle holder that has some voids in it.

Using play dough you can make dams that keep the epoxy from spreading to areas where you do not want it.

I use a 2 part west marine epoxy that I mix in dixy cups.

Pour the epoxy into the voids, and tilt the turning as needed to prevent the epoxy from leaking out.

The epoxy I use takes 24 hours to cure.

Leave it to set over night.

I store the playdough in the referigrater to keep it fresh and only open one can at a time.
